Knowing you, I find creative and matchmaker to be rightfully used in the summary but not together because it then implies that you are creative in making people and ideas match which does not convey an idea of a professional, diligent and rigorous process. I think you should be promoting the rational, tangible part of the skills and the creativity should come with the rest of the presentation. Everyone can say that they are creative... show me the money.

I'm going to buy a 3D printer, print more 3D printers, sell them and become the richest man ever in the history of 3D printing. Not that I would need the money, as I would be fine in my printed house, with my printed wife and family, eating printed food. And just to be a greedy douche,I'll also copyright the idea so no one else can do it.

I think some companies will have the same issues within their internal social networks ala yammer. The difference is that they might force processes and regulations too heavily at the beginning, trying to reduce their fear, when they should fear their own bureaucratic attitude towards openess. This comparison is valid with your next article "more projecting, less sharing".

“We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.”
― Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt

Most of those services are indeed available, coming from the incumbents and start-ups. Do they really bring any tangible value? What problem are they solving? It's not hard these days to pull and mash up data, but do Mr and Mrs Average really need it all?

We've seen this before, time and time again: VCs rushing in to chase the same hyped up opportunity. When I can pay for my coffee with Twitter or Facebook, we know the bubble is about to burst. Does the market, for example, really need a dozen of copycat dongles all marching to the same lemming cliff? Why does Starbucks+Square proposition deliver poor UX? Because they are re-inventing the wheel.

I'm sure there are ways to still capitalize on the wisdom of the crowds, I just think than in practice the process is less open than in theory. In practice all inputs are not good, all inputs are not useful. You have to design a system open enough that you get new and unexpected ideas from the outside, but closed enough that internal resources aren't flooded and contributors don't feel frustrated. It's really a balance act, different for each situation.
